BONE SOLUTION - Calcium....Absorbability is Everything
1:1 - 250 mg of elemental Calcium 250 mg. of elemental Magnesium 200 IU of Vitamin D
Calcium is recognized as an important mineral for the prevention of osteporosis as well as for central nervous system and muscle tissue health. Indeed, Calcium plays an important part in calming muscles and nerves and in the metabolism of bones.
Unfortunately, the Calcium we swallow does not always end up in our bone tissue or calming our muscles and nerves. We are not the Calcium supplement we ingest. We are the Calcium we swallow, digest and absorb.
Four factors are involved in the optimal use and absorption of any Calcium supplement by the body;
1) The form of administration of a Calcium supplement should be one that is easy to swallow. For most consumers, liquid is easier to swallow than capsules, and capsules are easier to swallow than tablets.
2) A Calcium supplement should be in a highly absorbable form, such as Calcium citrate, gluconate or lactate, rather than the poorly absorbed Calcium carbonate. Calcium should also not be taken alone.
3) Both Magnesium and Vitamin D, which are required by the body to use Calcium effectively, should be present in a Calcium supplement for optimal use.
4) Finally, the delivery system is also important. Calcium should not only be a highly absorbable form, it should also be easily transported to where it needs to be absorbed for optimal absorption.
Solutions are the most easily absorbed forms of nutrients. Suspensions (like most liquid supplements) or solids (capsules, powders or tablets), are the second and third best absorbed forms.
